Basimah Shoaib

Basimah Shoaib specialises in residential and commercial real estate including freehold and leasehold sales and acquisitions, re-mortgages, lease drafting and negotiating, assignments and underleases. She has a wide range of experience in immigration matters from nationality law, human rights applications, applications under the Points-Based System, Judicial Review applications to settlement visas. Basimah also frequently represents her immigration clients on appeals at the First-Tier Tribunals and the Upper Tribunals. Basimah graduated with an LLB (Hons) from the University of London in 2010, following which she continued her legal education in New York and graduated with an LLM from the University at Buffalo in 2012. Prior to joining Lester Dominic Solicitors in July 2020, Basimah worked at a Central London firm for several years where she received training and qualified as a solicitor in April 2018.
